I was a Primary School teacher in a small Rural School in Northern Victoria where soldiers who had returned from the war were given land where they started dairy farms and orchards. They had transformed the area into a thriving community and spoiled the teachers rotten.
I met my husband in Melbourne and then transferred back to a school in a very deprived area where most of the families were migrants.
I loved every day of my role as a teacher. The children were always so special and grateful for what you did for them.
After having my own children I went back to Uni and did the Grad. Diploma of Librarianship. This has afforded me the opportunity to continue helping children and all other members of the community.
